“Spirito di Vino” was established in 2000 within the Movimento Turismo del Vino Friuli Venezia Giulia, strongly desired by Elda Felluga, president of the regional delegation of the association that is promoting the enoturism.
Giorgio Forattini, Emilio Giannelli and Alfio Krancic, the three major Italian satirists, immediately joined with enthusiasm, and in 2005 Valerio Marini was added. Because of their fundamental contribution, “Spirito di Vino” has become a benchmark for aspiring cartoonists.
The decision to match a message from the world of wine to the entertaining and joyful satire is what distinguishes this competition from the very beginning and the young people appreciate it for this reason. The challenge, original and captivating, is launched each year to hundreds of young people who participate: the subject of wine is the cultural element that acts as a substrate in our daily lives and inspires countless original creations.
“Spirito di Vino” is a project that the Movimento Turismo del Vino Friuli Venezia Giulia pursues with enthusiasm and passion, because it was created for young artists. There is, in fact, a hidden message to enjoy wine with awareness and responsibility, that addresses all young people but also wine lovers all over the world.
To pursue these issues, the regional association has started other major initiatives under this project: a section of the competition is dedicated to short films and a series of meetings on approaching the world of wine is offered at associated wineries.
It is believed, in fact, that speaking to our young people about the wealth and the particularities of the land in which they live is of paramount importance to make them aware of their native place and its real potential. |
